The Duo Byblos was founded in 2017 by soprano Cécilia Roumi and pianist Nicolas Venner. Coming from the world of early music, they both received part of their training at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis where they met.

 

However, their curiosity and desire to make the most of other facets of their artistic personalities - literature, directing, arranging - that have led them to an original and eclectic repertoire. At the crossroads of genres and styles, lyric, melody, operetta, jazz, song, their thematic programmes invite you to travel, with sometimes unexpected and daring associations and custom-made arrangements.
